After his Fulham side were relegated from the Premier League last season could Cottagers starlet Ryan Sessegnon be set to return to the top tier this summer?
Ryan Sessegnon has long been linked with a move away from Craven Cottage. The youngster was being tipped for a move to one of the Premier League’s bigger sides when Fulham were enjoying a promotion campaign two years ago, but decided to remain with the club following their play-off final win over Aston Villa.
The one season at the top tier ended in tears for the Cottagers though as they were quite comfortably relegated back to the Championship. It was a difficult campaign for Sessegnon on a personal level too, as he struggled to make an impact and scored only twice in 30 appearances for the club.
Still, at times he showed flashes of his undeniable potential and having only just turned 19 at the end of the season, the room for growth is certainly there for such a young player and his attributes are obvious as he is technically gifted, speedy and can play both at left-back and left-wing.
Tottenham are reportedly looking to overhaul their full-backs this summer with Danny Rose and Kieran Trippier reportedly attracting interest from elsewhere and boss Mauricio Pochettino has supposedly been a long-term admirer of Sessegnon and as such, the odds on a move to Spurs this summer are very short.
But Manchester United are looking to add pacey young players to their ranks this summer too so a move for Sessegnon would definitely make sense of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer whilst the bookmakers are also offering odds on both Liverpool and Leicester to make moves for the 19 year old.
