League 2 Winner Prediction

With Paul Warne in charge, favourites MK Dons are primed to win the League 2 title this season, given previous successful spells with Rotherham United and Derby County, having won four promotions as a manager.

Top Six Prediction

Joining them in the top six will be Bristol Rovers under the stewardship of club legend Darrell Clarke, who has previously won two promotions with the club.

I also expect Chesterfield and Gillingham to finish somewhere inside the play-off places – the former close to securing back-to-back promotions last term and the latter now boasting Gareth Ainsworth at the helm, who has a proven track record of being successful teams at this level.

Relegation Team Prediction

Despite a potential takeover looming, I foresee Cheltenham Town enduring great difficulties this season. Their current squad is a real concern, with recent additions doing nothing to convince me that they’re in any sort of shape to withstand a gruelling season in the fourth tier.

Similarly, Accrington Stanley have circled the drain of League Two for some time now, and it feels as though this campaign could be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. John Doolan managed to keep them afloat last time, but there wasn’t enough evidence  to dismiss those lingering alarm bells.

Top Goalscorer Prediction

Aaron Collins has been installed as the early 11/2 favourite to finish as the League Two top goalscorer and that’s a price I like the look of. He will get a consistent supply line leading the MK Dons attack and resides in a team who are anticipated to make a big splash in the division.

Manager of the Season Prediction

It only makes sense to align my League 2 Manager of the Season prediction with the others – tipping MK Dons’ Paul Warne to scoop the award.

He has won promotion in all four seasons as a manager below Championship-level and the Dons’ recruitment model, from transfers to managerial appointments, facilitates success.

Are There Any Specific Markets Which Tend to Offer Better Value in League 2?

Markets such as both teams to score and over/under 2.5 goals can supply decent value for players who prefer to place larger stakes on single selections. For those who wish to win big from multiple legged bets, correct score accas could be the way to go.

When Are Our League 2 Tips Available?

You will find our League 2 match tips and accumulators posted on this page at least 24 hours before that game’s kick-off, with weekend bets available every Thursday for the forthcoming Saturday’s fixtures.

Who Gets Promoted from EFL League Two?

As is the case with the other two EFL divisions, three teams are promoted from League Two, with the top two teams gaining automatic promotion and a third team joining them via winning the play-offs.
