Tottenham vs Nottingham Forest Tips

Tip 1

Tottenham’s players will be full of confidence as they return home after Thursday’s 1-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

Spurs have been inconsistent this season under Ange Postecoglou, but scoring goals has not been an issue, especially at home.

The hosts have scored in 23 of their 25 home games in all competitions this season, and they face a Forest side who have started to struggle after back-to-back defeats.

Forest are still in the mix for a top-four spot, though, and they have netted in four consecutive league away games, so expect them to trouble Spurs’ inconsistent defence.

Tip 2

Nottingham Forest midfielder Ryan Yates may find himself in trouble on Monday night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Yates was booked in the previous meeting between the clubs in December and he has collected 10 yellow cards this season.

Monday’s contest should be end-to-end and there’s every chance the Forest captain will need to slow Spurs down. He has committed nine fouls in four games, starting only three of those ties and he looks good value to get himself carded.

Tottenham team news and predicted lineup

Tottenham captain Son Heung-Min is a doubt after missing Thursday’s game against Frankfurt with a foot injury, while James Maddison was substituted in that match due to a hip issue, although Postecoglou has said he will be fit to feature.

Defensive pair Kevin Danso and Radu Dragusin are both sidelined and will miss Monday’s fixture.

Tottenham Hotspur predicted XI (4-3-3) Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Bentancur, Sarr, Maddison; Kulusevski, Solanke, Johnson

Nottingham Forest team news and predicted lineup

Nuno Espirito Santo is still waiting to see if Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi can feature and he has confirmed both are going to be monitored day-to-day until kick-off.

Nottingham Forest predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Sels; Williams, Milenkovic, Murillo, Moreno; Anderson, Yates; Elanga, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood.

Tottenham vs Nottingham Forest Head-to-Head Statistics

The two sides last met in December, with Forest winning 1-0, while Spurs won the previous game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium 3-1.

Spurs have won the last three meetings at home against Forest by a 3-1 scoreline.

Key Players to Watch

With Son potentially sidelined, the burden will fall to Maddison to come up with the goods. The England international has already registered three assists in April in all competitions.

Forest will hope Wood is fit and firing again following his recent injury, with the New Zealand international scoring 18 goals already this season.
