AC Milan vs Atalanta Tips

Tip 1

Only the reigning champions and league leaders Inter Milan have scored more goals than Atalanta’s 65 across the current Serie A campaign.

La Dea have netted twice or more in 19/32 league matches, meeting this particular line in nine away contests, including four of the last five.

Parma, Lazio and Fiorentina have all rocked up to the San Siro and put two past Milan in the hosts’ last six home matches, while they’ve also conceded 2+ in five of the last nine altogether.

It also helps that Gian Piero Gasperini’s side enter this fixture knowing they’ve got the better of their opponents in three of the last four head-to-head meetings, going undefeated over this same sample and bagging at least twice in three of those four.

Tip 2

Serie A top scorer Mateo Retegui has 23 in 30 despite blanking in his last three before breaking this rough patch inside three minutes against Bologna last Sunday.

The Italian has netted 15/30 in the league so far, amassing 26 goals in total over 43 appearances, which includes three strikes in this season’s Champions League campaign.

For the second part of this double, I’m looking at Isak Hien to pick up a card for the visitors in the fashion capital of the world.

The 26 year old Swede has been brandished nine yellows in 27 Serie A games – a tally which is only surpassed by three other players across the entire division.

Hien has seen yellow in three of his last five, with last weekend’s match with Bologna producing a card inside seven minutes for the defender.

AC Milan Form, Team News & Predicted Line-Up

I Rossonerri broke an unwanted run of four games in search of a win by hammering Udinese 4-0 in their own backyard, but those three points still weren’t enough to see them climb higher than 9th in the standings.

Sergio Conceicao could be without up to four of his players for Atalanta’s visit, as Mike Maignan, Kyle Walker, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Santiago Gimenez are all contending with injuries.

AC Milan Predicted XI: Sportiello; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Jimenez, Fofana, Reijnders, Hernandez; Pulisic, Jovic, Leao.

Atalanta Form, Team News & Predicted Line-Up

Gasperini guided his side back from three straight defeats with a comfortable 2-0 win over Bologna which helped them maintain a two point cushion over Juventus in the top four.

The Black and Blues have three confirmed absentees for this trip, with Giorgio Scalvini, Gianluca Scamacca and Charles De Ketalaere not expected back until early May. Marco Palestra and Sead Kolasinac both face late fitness tests to feature.

Atalanta Predicted XI: Carnesecchi; Djimsiti, Hien, Kolasinac; Bellanova, de Roon, Ederson, Zappacosta; Pasalic, Lookman; Retegui.
