Real Madrid vs Valencia Tips

Tip 1

Real Madrid have won four of their last five La Liga games, but Carlo Ancelotti’s side have kept only one clean sheet during that run. Los Blancos have recorded a total of six home league shutouts this term with only one in their last six at the Bernabeu.

The absence of first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and the return of Valencia top scorer Hugo Duro should enable the visitors to register on this trip to the capital.

But Valencia have not won at the Bernabeu in 17 years, losing on each of their last six visits and look likely to be overpowered by Real Madrid’s awesome attacking players by the end.

Tip 2

After a slow start to the season by his lofty standards, Kylian Mbappe is now in red-hot goalscoring form as he chases Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski down in the race to be La Liga’s top marksman.

A double strike against Leganes last week took the Frenchman to 22 goals in the league, 12 of which have been scored in his last 10 appearances. Mbappe has grabbed the opener in four of Real Madrid’s last six La Liga contests and could be the man to break the deadlock again on Saturday.

Real Madrid Form, Team News & Predicted Line-Up

Real Madrid are still fighting on all fronts and this clash falls before a crucial Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal and after a Copa del Rey semi-final with Real Sociedad.

Ancelotti has been rotating key players in midfield and out wide in recent weeks, but his central defenders and striker selections have been consistent.

Thibaut Courtois is expected to miss his third Real Madrid game in a row after picking up an injury while on international duty with Andriy Lunin set to deputise again.

Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Federico Valverde began the last league game on the bench after returning from World Cup qualifying duty in South America but could all start this one.

Real Madrid Predicted XI: Lunin; Lucas Vazquez, Rudiger, Asensio, Fran Garcia; Camavinga, Valverde; Vinicius Jr, Bellingham, Rodrygo; Mbappe.

Valencia Form, Team News & Predicted Line-Up

Valencia are unbeaten in four league games with only one defeat in their last seven under Carlos Corberan, who was appointed on Christmas Eve.

Los Che will travel to Madrid without left-back and captain Jose Gaya, right-back Dimitri Foulquier and striker Luis Rioja, who are all suspended for accumulating yellow cards.

Leading scorer Hugo Duro could return to the line-up after a six-week injury lay-off.

Valencia Predicted XI: Mamardashvili; Mosquera, Diakhaby, Tarrega, Vazquez; Barrenechea, Guerra; Fran Perez, Almeida, Lopez; Sadiq.

Real Madrid vs Valencia Head-to-Head Record

Real Madrid have won six of the last eight league meetings with Valencia, scoring at least two times on seven occasions.

Overall, the capital club have won 110 of their 211 previous clashes in all competitions with 58 Valencia victories and 43 draws.

Los Che have not tasted victory at the Bernabeu since David Villa scored a brace in a 3-2 win in March 2008.

Valencia have scored in six of their last eight games against Real, and two of the last three at the Bernabeu.
