After intimating that he is ready for a fresh challenge to Danish press could Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen be leaving North London this summer?
Eriksen, who has been with the Lilywhites since 2013, has been a key player for the club during their revolution under the management of Mauricio Pochettino but with no winners medals to show for it, the Dane could be set to force a move away from the club this summer.
Given that he topped the assists charts in the Premier League last season and possesses an eye for a long-range shot as well as quick feet and magnificent passing range, there should be no shortage of suitors for the 27 year old.
One club that have seemingly been linked with Eriksen for quite some time now are Real Madrid and they were the club mentioned by Eriksen in his revealing interview with Ekstra Bladet in which he stated his desire to ‘try something new.’
However, los Blancos have already splashed the cash on Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic so far this summer whilst Zinedine Zidane is said to prefer Manchester United’s Paul Pogba as a potential midfield addition over Eriksen.
Barcelona were briefly linked with Eriksen in the past before deciding to sign Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool, but the Brazilian has failed to make an impact at Camp Nou, so the Catalonians could be tempted by a return for the Tottenham star – although the reported price tag of £133m could put them off.
Elsewhere, Juventus, PSG and Bayern Munich will all no doubt have been alerted to these comments from Eriksen and whilst it seems unlikely that he would be sold to another Premier League club by Spurs, all of the top clubs from the continent will be showing an interest.
