Switzerland travel to Dublin for their Matchday 5 EURO 2020 Qualifiers clash on Thursday with a six-point gap to the Group D pace-setters Republic of Ireland, hoping to snatch important points and catch up with two games still in hand – after a disappointing Nations League Finals mini-tournament in June.

Indeed, Swiss Nati suffered narrow losses to Portugal (3-1) and England (on penalties after a goalless draw) in Portugal, seeing a three-match unbeaten streak interrupted once again.
