Liverpool Form, Team News & Predicted Line-Up

Alisson Becker returned after two months off with a hamstring injury in Liverpool’s 1-0 Champions League win over Girona on Tuesday and the Brazilian is likely to replace Caoimhin Kelleher in goal for the Reds’ weekend Premier League clash with Fulham.

Midfielder Alexis Mac Allister is faced with a one-match ban and joins the injured Conor Bradley, Kostas Tsimikas and Ibahima Konate on the sidelines, while doubts persist over the availability of forwards Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa.

Liverpool Predicted XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Jones, Gravenberch, Szoboszlai; Salah, Gakpo, Diaz.

Fulham Form, Team News & Predicted Line-Up

Fulham will have to make do without suspended pair Calvin Bassey and Tom Cairney, while Marco Silva will have to wait for an update on the fitness of Joachim Anderson, who has missed the Cottagers’ last three matches with an Achilles tendon injury.

Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson has been ruled out for around 10 weeks with a hamstring injury and misses out, as does midfielder Harrison Reed.

Fulham Predicted XI: Leno; Tete, Diop, Cuenca, Robinson; Lukic, Berge; Traore, Smith Rowe, Iwobi; Jimenez.

Key Players to Watch in Liverpool vs Fulham

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Liverpool have fared best in this fixture over the last few seasons, winning five of their eight Premier League meetings with Fulham from the 2018/19 season onwards, including both clashes last season.

The Merseyside men also defeated their London counterparts 3-2 on aggregate in the EFL Cup semi-finals last term and they’re full of confidence following a fantastic start to life under Arne Slot.

Liverpool are on a nine-match winning home run under the Dutchman, stretching back to their shock 1-0 September loss to Nottingham Forest, and they’ve kept five clean sheets in their last seven home matches.

Fulham are also going well, losing just one of their last seven Premier League games, but a trip to Anfield presents a test which could prove beyond them.

Liverpool vs Fulham Head-To-Head Statistics

From a Liverpool perspective, all eyes have been on Mohamed Salah of late with the brilliant Egyptian scoring in each of the Reds’ last seven Premier League matches.

However, Cody Gakpo looks a tempting price for first-goalscorer bettors – the Dutchman could again play through the middle with Jota unlikely to be fit and he’s thrived at Anfield, scoring in four of Liverpool’s last five home matches.

Fulham did not create much in last week’s battling 1-1 home draw with Arsenal, but Raul Jimenez found the net with a brilliant finish and the Mexican is again likely to be the visitors’ chief goal threat.
