How to use Betfair’s £100 in free bets offer on the Premier League this weekend

Jon Wilde 29 Aug 2019

Betfair are offering new customers 18+ a fantastic £100 in free bets – and we show you how to start snapping them up by betting on this weekend’s football…and hopefully making a big profit!

How do I get £100 in free bets at Betfair?

In all honesty, it’s not a quickfire process. It’s not a “wham bam, thank you ma’am” in the sense that it’s not one bet = one free bet.

Instead, Betfair like to reward loyalty from customers who will stay with them rather than the ‘here today gone tomorrow’ types who are in it for one quick hit.

And that’s fine by us, because the £100 in free bets offer allows you to build up your betting bank and/or withdraw any profits just as long as you stick to the criteria for the promotion.

How much do I need to stake to get £100 in free bets?

The simple answer is £250. But not all at once – it’s essentially five £10 bets to trigger a £20 free bet, and you can do that five times to reach the maximum £100 in free bets.

So it works like this:

  1. Open a Betfair account via this link
  2. Place 5 single bets of £10 or more on different Betfair Sportsbook markets at minimum odds of 1/2
  3. After your 5 qualifying bets have been settled, you will receive a £20 free bet
  4. Repeat this process up to 5 times to receive the maximum available bonus of £100 (5 x £20 free bets)

What else do I need to know?

  • Qualifying bets are those placed and settled within the first 30 days after you open your account
  • Cashed Out and Voided bets do not qualify
  • Bets placed using free bets as the stake (in full or part) will not qualify
  • Only one bet per event qualifies
  • Multiple bets are excluded
  • Free bets are valid for 30 days

Which qualifying bets should I place?

Let’s bag a £20 free bet this weekend by betting on the Premier League matches. We only have 30 days to get the full £100 of free bets available so there’s no time like the present to crack on!

Bet No 1: Southampton to win or draw at home to Manchester United @ 4/5 with Betfair

United’s last away win in the Premier League came all the way back in February and they have managed to find a way not to collect three points in both of their last two games – essentially by missing penalties.

Southampton have not beaten the Red Devils at home since 2003 but will feel this is their time after a 2-1 victory at Brighton last weekend got their season up and running.

Bet No 2: Sheffield United +2 on the handicap away to Chelsea @ 8/11 with Betfair

Chelsea are averaging two goals conceded per match in their competitive games under Frank Lampard and therefore the Blades must be hopeful of bulging the net at Stamford Bridge – they have scored on all three outings back in the Premier League so far.

If Sheffield United can indeed score, it will give them a good chance of avoiding a decisive defeat at the very least because they are defensively resilient and proving to be highly competitive – suggesting they are far from being certainties for immediate relegation.

Bet No 3: Watford to win away to Newcastle United @ 19/10 with Betfair

These teams’ moods could hardly have been more different last weekend as Newcastle pulled off a shock victory away to Tottenham, whereas Watford made it three defeats in a row against West Ham to leave them stranded at the bottom of the early Premier League table.

But the Hornets look to have too much quality to be there for long and after several players staked claims for inclusion in the starting line-up on Tyneside with impressive displays in the midweek Carabao Cup win over Coventry, this could be when Watford start turning the tide.

Bet No 4: West Ham United vs Norwich City – Over 3.5 Goals @ 5/4 with Betfair

Norwich fans can look forward to an entertaining Premier League campaign in every respect – their team have already been involved in three matches containing 14 goals since their promotion and this could be another thriller.

West Ham are also showing signs that there will be plenty of action in both goalmouths during their contests, getting up and running properly with a 3-1 win at Watford last week, and we expect plenty of thrills and spills at the London Stadium on Saturday.

Bet No 5: Burnley vs Liverpool – Both teams to score @ 9/10 with Betfair

Burnley have started the league season in promising fashion, Ashley Barnes having bagged four goals in their three matches so far, and they look capable of causing problems for Liverpool – albeit the European champions will ultimately probably be too good for them.

Liverpool, in contrast to last term, are proving to be ‘both teams to score’ specialists in the absence of reliable goalkeeper Alisson and this is certainly not the easiest fixture in which to keep a clean sheet – especially as the Reds have not shut out Burnley in any of their last six meetings.

Potential returns from our five £10 bets = £105.77…and you will receive a £20 free bet.

Good luck!

*New customer offer. Place 5 x €/£10 or more bets to receive €/£20 in free bets. Repeat up to 5 times to receive maximum €/£100 bonus. Min odds 1/2 (1.5). Exchange bets excluded. T&Cs apply.
