Bet Through The Card: This Weekend’s Premier League Tips

Dean Smith 29 Aug 2019

We’ve had a raft of winners on our Bet Through The Card tips so far this term and we go again this weekend, placing £5 on Southampton vs Man Utd to earn 4 x £5 free bets for the rest of the week’s action.

Ladbrokes offer new customers the chance to place a £5 bet and get their hands on four £5 free bets to get their account off to the best possible start and we’re taking advantage of that this weekend to get some Premier League bets placed for another weekend of thrilling football.

We’re kicking off by placing a £5 bet on the early kick-off on Saturday between Southampton and Manchester United to release 4 x £5 free bets with Ladbrokes to use on the rest of the weekend’s Premier League action.

How does it work?

We recommend opening up an account at Ladbrokes to follow our Bet Through The Card Tips. When you open an account, deposit and place a £5 bet, you get your hands on four more free £5 bets, so you can stake £5 on all our tips despite only depositing £5 to begin with! This offer is for new customers, 18+ only and terms and conditions do apply. Just follow the steps below to get started:

  1. Go to Ladbrokes via our link
  2. Open an account, deposit £5 and use it to back our first tip below
  3. You will then receive 4x£5 free bets – which you can use to back our other four tips!

Let’s go!

Bet One – Southampton vs Man Utd – Draw

It’s been a shaky start to the season for Manchester United. After thumping Chelsea on the opening weekend, the Red Devils have dropped points against Wolves and Crystal Palace in their last two outings. Although it was a poor start for Southampton with back-to-back defeats to Burnley and Liverpool, they will have gained confidence from that victory at the Amex Stadium against Brighton & Hove Albion last time out. We can see the two sides cancelling each other out here.

Bet Two – Chelsea vs Sheffield United – Abraham to score first

Chelsea picked up their first competitive win under Frank Lampard last weekend with a 2-3 victory at Carrow Road and they have striker Tammy Abraham to thank for that. The young English forward bagged twice and he’ll be desperate to nail down the starting spot by scoring in this game against Sheffield United. The Blades will be aware of the task in hand here and will look to keep things tight so it will be a low-scoring game in our opinion, meaning there is value in backing him to score first.

Bet Three – Leicester vs Bournemouth – Home win & BTTS

Bournemouth have picked up four points from their first three games of the season, scoring in each of their three fixtures. Leicester meanwhile have managed five points of their own, avoiding defeat thus far but keeping just one clean sheet. As such, we do see the Cherries getting on the scoresheet on their trip to the King Power here but with the home advantage and superior squad, the Foxes should still take all three points.

Bet Four – Man City vs Brighton – First Man City goal between 11′ and 20′

City have managed to score in the first 25 minutes of their first three games of the Premier League campaign and in Brighton they are not expected to come up against too much resistance in this fixture on Saturday afternoon. With the attacking quality that they have through players like Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero it always seems like a matter of time until they open the scoring and we’re backing that to be fairly early on at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon.

Bet Five – Newcastle vs Watford – Home win to nil

Newcastle got their first win of the campaign under their belt last weekend with a surprise victory over Tottenham Hotspur. This Saturday, the Magpies will look to build on that as they welcome a Watford outfit that has endured a dreadful start to the campaign, losing all three matches in the Premier League thus far and scoring only one goal. As such, we can see another stoic defensive performance from Steve Bruce’s outfit and a narrow home win here.

If you were to back our tips for these games with the Ladbrokes new customer offer you could come out with the following profit!

£5 on DRAW in Southampton vs Man Utd returns £12
£5 free bet on TAMMY ABRAHAM TO SCORE FIRST in Chelsea vs Sheffield United returns £15*
£5 free bet on HOME WIN & BTTS in Leicester vs Bournemouth returns £10*
£5 free bet on FIRST MAN CITY GOAL BETWEEN 11′ and 20′ in Man City vs Brighton returns £17*
£5 free bet on HOME WIN TO NIL in Newcastle vs Watford returns £15*

*Free bet stake not included in returns

That could equal a total returns of £69 – good luck!
