Bet One – Crystal Palace vs Arsenal – Home win; Draw No Bet
Arsenal may have won their last two games under new boss Mikel Arteta, but they were far from convincing against Championship outfit Leeds United in the FA Cup the other night and those two victories have been Arteta’s first two in five games in charge. Here, the Gunners take on a Crystal Palace outfit that have lost just one of their last eight Premier League matches and are unbeaten in the last three meetings between these two sides, so we expect Roy Hodgson’s men to avoid defeat again here.
Bet Two – Everton vs Brighton & Hove Albion – Under 1.5 goals
Both Everton and Brighton & Hove Albion have been struggling for goals of late. The Toffees have managed to find the net just four times in their last five matches, but they have encouragingly managed to keep two clean sheets in those five matches too. Five of Brighton’s last six matches meanwhile have seen fewer than three goals scored and we expect an even lower-scoring clash against goalshy Everton here.
Bet Three – Leicester vs Southampton – Danny Ings to score first
Danny Ings has really been in fantastic form for Southampton of late, who have recovered well since their embarrassing 0-9 home defeat in the reverse of this clash with Leicester City earlier in the season. Former Liverpool striker Ings has been key to this resurgence, smashing in nine goals in his last 11 outings. The Saints are in great form generally and will be out for revenge here – we can see them opening the scoring through Ings at the King Power.
Bet Four – Wolves vs Newcastle – Wolves & Under 2.5 goals
Wolves are in great form at the moment and will be looking to take advantage of a Newcastle outfit that have slipped to three consecutive league defeats – followed by a draw with League One Rochdale in the FA Cup last time out. The Magpies haven’t managed more than one goal in any of their last six games in all competitions, whilst two of Wolves’ last three outings have seen less than three goals scored. The hosts should have enough to win in a low-scoring affair here.
Bet Five – Tottenham vs Liverpool – Away win & BTTS
Tottenham may be without Harry Kane for Saturday’s clash with league leaders Liverpool, but through players like Dele Alli and Heung min Son, they will always carry an attacking threat. We can’t see the Lilywhites taking any points from a Liverpool outfit that has won 19 out of 20 Premier League matches so far this season, but we can see the Reds winning with both teams scoring – as they have done in 12 of those 19 wins.
