Bet One – Chelsea vs Arsenal – Home win to nil
Chelsea may have lost at Newcastle over the weekend, but they’ve been better in their last two home matches at Stamford Bridge, beating Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup and Burnley in the Premier League. Here, they face an Arsenal side that have won just once in their last 11 on the road and will be without their key player and main attacking outlet, the suspended Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Blues backline could be in for an easier night than usual against the Gunners.
Bet Two – Leicester vs West Ham – Draw
Leicester’s fine season has slowed down in the last week. The Foxes have been beaten by Southampton and Burnley in their last two Premier League matches and although West Ham haven’t exactly hit the ground running under David Moyes as yet, they did pick up a draw with Everton at the London Stadium over the weekend. We suspect the Hammers will do enough to hold Brendan Rodgers’ stuttering side to a draw here.
Bet Three – Tottenham vs Norwich – Under 2.5 goals
Given that these two sides shared four goals in a 2-2 draw at Carrow Road just a matter of weeks ago you may be surprised to see us backing a low-scoring clash this time around. However, it’s worth noting that four of Spurs’ five matches since have seen less than three goals scored in total, whilst the Canaries have scored just twice over the course of their three Premier League outings since then, so we fancy a low-scoring outcome in North London.
Bet Four – Man Utd vs Burnley – Man Utd -2
Burnley picked up an important win over Leicester this weekend but they could be set for a tough time at Manchester United in midweek. The Clarets have lost three of their last four away games and lost two of those by a margin of three or more goals, whilst the Red Devils put in their most confident display of the season in their last home match in the Premier League, beating Norwich City 4-0. We anticipate a comfortable victory for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men here.
Bet Five – Wolves vs Liverpool – Away win to nil
Liverpool earned themselves yet another win and yet another clean sheet on Sunday as they beat Manchester United 2-0 at Anfield. That takes their run to five consecutive victories without conceding a goal and although Wolves are flying high towards the top of the table at the moment, they have won just one of their last six games in all competitions and were beaten to nil at by the Reds during that run, so we fancy the same outcome here at odds of 33/20.
