Bet One – Burnley vs Man City – Man City -3
Manchester City are starting to see the gap between themselves and leaders Liverpool open up at the top of the Premier League table. The Citizens were held to another draw by Newcastle United over the weekend and boss Pep Guardiola will both need and expect a reaction from his charges here. Burnley’s morale will have been dented by Crystal Palace’s win at Turf Moor on Saturday – we can see City sending a message in this game to let the Reds know they’re not out of the title race just yet.
Bet Two – Chelsea vs Aston Villa – Home win & BTTS
Chelsea will be out to bounce back to winning form on Wednesday after a disappointing home defeat to West Ham over the weekend. The Blues have kept just one clean sheet in their last eight games and they come up against an Aston Villa side here that scored twice at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. We think Frank Lampard’s men will do enough for the three points but we expect both teams to score in the process at Stamford Bridge.
Bet Three – Leicester vs Watford – Home win & BTTS
Leicester managed a dramatic win over Everton at the weekend to put themselves in second place in the table after Manchester City and Chelsea both dropped points. Watford were beaten at Southampton but did manage to get on the scoresheet again and given that the Foxes have won six of their matches whilst failing to keep a clean sheet already this season we’re on the home win and both teams to score market for this King Power clash.
Jose Mourinho returns to Old Trafford with his new club Tottenham on Wednesday night for a mouth-watering Premier League clash. Since the Portuguese head coach was appointed, Spurs have scored ten times and conceded six in just three games and Manchester United played out a more open match against Aston Villa over the weekend, drawing 2-2. We expect these two struggling defences to endure another difficult night’s work here.
Liverpool are flying at the top of the table and their gap over Manchester City, the reigning champions, was stretched to 11 points over the weekend. The Reds however have only managed to keep two clean sheets in the Premier League this season in 14 games – but have still managed to pick up no fewer than 13 wins. That’s why we can’t resist another match result and both teams to score bet in this one as they welcome their struggling neighbours Everton from across Stanley Park.
