Bet One – Turkey vs Iceland – Home win to nil
Turkey have been in fantastic form in front of their own fans of late, winning their last six consecutive home matches and keeping clean sheets in no fewer than five of those games. Iceland meanwhile seem to struggle somewhat away from home, winning just once in their last 11 fixtures outside of their own country. It should be a low-scoring game but we can see the Crescent-Stars’ improving defence securing the three points in this one.
Bet Two – Czech Republic vs Kosovo – Over 3.5 goals
We’re backing goals between these two high-scoring teams. Every single one of the Czech Republic’s last eight games have seen more than two goals scored between the two sides and you can expect even more in this clash against a Kosovo side that play with a real attacking style, as demonstrated by the fact that they have scored six times in their last two away games – but conceded seven. We’re anticipating even more goals between two sides who will feel they can win this game.
Bet Three – England vs Montenegro – Harry Kane to score 3+
Harry Kane will be looking to shoulder the goalscoring burden for England with Raheem Sterling missing out on this fixture versus Montenegro at Wembley. The Three Lions skipper hasn’t been in the most prolific form of late but he’s been putting in some better performances for his country, scoring seven times in his four international outings so far this season. We’re backing him for a hat-trick against Montenegro.
Moldova may have been beaten 1-4 at home by France earlier in this group stage, but les Bleus can afford to take their foot off the gas a little with qualification already a matter of formality. Moldova have actually set up slightly better defensively of late, keeping the opposition to less than three goals in three of their last five games whilst France, though often dominant, rarely rack up tonnes of goals, so we can see the minnows keeping things tighter
Serbia should face few problems in easing past Luxembourg in this one. They beat Luxembourg by a 3-1 scoreline away from home and given that the Red Lions have lost their last two games by three goals to Portugal and four to Denmark away from home we anticipate a long night for them in Belgrade, particularly if the deadly Aleksandr Mitrovic can carry his terrific Fulham form into this international clash.
