AC Milan vs Napoli Predictions

  • Full Time Result: Draw
  • Correct Score: 2-2
  • Both Teams To Score: Yes
  • Over 2.5 Goals: Yes
  • First Goalscorer: Christian Pulisic

Both Milan and Napoli were the form sides heading into last weekend, however the Rossoneri have been handed an extra rest day for this contest after their trip to Bologna was postponed due to extreme flooding in the area.

This means that the hosts may be fitter for this crucial contest and recent history at the San Siro shows that Milan could do with all the help that they can get.

The Rossoneri have won just one of their last nine home meetings with Napoli, with that victory coming last season as Theo Hernandez’s first-half strike was enough to seal all three points for the hosts.

Gli Azzurri won each of the three previous trips to Milan, including a 2-1 victory in September 2022 as the Il Partenopi stormed to a first Scudetto title in 33 years.

Napoli have been dominant at home this season, but their form on the road has not proven to be as strong, winning two of their four league matches, as well as drawing at Juventus (0-0) and comfortably losing to Verona (3-0).

With history favouring Napoli and home form favouring Milan, a tight contest is expected between these two sides.

AC Milan vs Napoli Tips

Tip 1

Both Milan and Napoli possess a wealth of attacking quality among their ranks and goals should be expected at both ends.

The Rossoneri have found the net at the San Siro on a regular basis this season, scoring 14 goals over their six home matches in all competitions – including three against Lecce and four against Venezia in Serie A.

Napoli may not be as deadly going forward on the road as they have been at home, but their forward line has shone so far in the early exchanges of the campaign, with Romelu Lukaku and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia particularly impressive in the final third.

Both sides finding the net looks a strong bet and combining this with an overs winner could be fruitful.

Three of the last four Serie A meetings have seen at least three goals scored and this theme could be set to continue.

Tip 2

Milan are amongst the leading home goalscorers in the league this season and, in American forward Christian Pulisic, they possess one of the form players in the early exchanges of the campaign.

The former Chelsea star has eight goal contributions to his name – including three assists – and has found the net in four home matches in all competitions this season.

Back the 26-year-old to get his name on the scoresheet once again at the San Siro on Tuesday.
