What are both teams to score tips?

Along with straight home win/away win/draw and over/under 2.5 goals, Both Teams to Score (or BTTS for short) tips have in recent times become one of the most popular betting tips that online sports betting fans use at sportsbooks.

When you place a both teams to score bet, you can bet that both sides in a fixture will score or that one side in a fixture will not score. For a BTTS 'yes' bet, both sides need to score at least one goal during the game in order for your bet to be a winner. For a 'no' bet one side or both sides must keep a clean sheet.

How does BTTS work?

There are two ways we look at games that are likely to be good BTTS yes or BTTS no tips. For a yes tip, we look at sides that both score and concede a lot of goals, and sides that rarely draw a blank and have difficulty in keeping a clean sheet. When a fixture draws two such teams together this is usually a good BTTS yes tip.

For a BTTS no tip we look for teams that do not score many goals yet are very good at keeping clean sheets. We may also look for teams that have difficulty in scoring away from home.

What are the advantages of both teams to score tips?

Unlike a straight win/lose/draw tip, once a BTTS 'yes' tip has proven to be correct, it becomes a winner and cannot become a losing bet via events that affect the rest of the game. For example, if you back Real Madrid and Barcelona as a BTTS 'yes' bet, once both Madrid and Barca have both found the back of the net, it doesn't matter what the final score is.

Also, such bets keep on going right until the final whistle. If you've gone for the draw and Madrid take a four-nil lead, then your bet is likely scuppered. If you'd gone for BTTS 'yes' then Barca would only need to score once.

What are the best BTTS tips?

Certain teams play in certain ways, of course. Some teams 'park the bus' once they've scored a goal, hoping to grind out a one-nil win. Teams that make a successful habit of this are good BTTS 'no' tips.

Other teams are a little more gung-ho and don't mind conceding a goal as long as they score two or three goals themselves. Such teams are always good BTTS 'yes' tips.

We do all the number-crunching to identify teams that fall into these and other favourable BTTS categories. That way we are assured that we can provide our site users with the best tips.

Daily both teams to score predictions

The beauty of BTTS predictions is that as soon as we know any fixture that is up-and-coming, then we can undergo the statistical analysis needed and work out the best BTTS tips.

However, we do recommend that you wait until one day or so before the game before you place your bet. There is more to football betting than just numbers – perhaps a high-scoring team is missing a star striker, or a defensive team's top-class goalkeeper is injured or suspended. We always tailor our tips based on the most up-to-date news available, right up until the actual fixture kicks off.

BTTS tips for this weekend

Although we supply tips for every day of the week on which there are games of football (which between August and May is virtually every single weekday) every football fan knows that it's the weekend when the majority of football action takes place.

This means that our best both teams to score tips typically come between Friday and Monday, simply because that's when we have the greatest number of football games to choose from.

No matter if you're a dedicated football wagering fan, or are just a casual sports bettor, don't forget to check our site between Friday and Monday for the best weekend BTTS tips you'll find anywhere on the internet.

Both teams to score accumulator

With BTTS (yes or no) you can get some pretty decent odds from the bookmakers, but to enhance your chances of maximising the return from your betting and with minimum risk, you should consider linking together at least four tips in an accumulator, or 'acca' for short.

With an acca, the winnings from your first tip becomes the stake on your second, and so on down the line. We always present to you any BTTS accumulator we think is worth backing, plus a couple more tips if you want to extend your acca beyond the number of individual tips that we give.
