Portugal vs Serbia Match Preview
Serbia travel to Portugal for their EURO 2020 Qualifiers clash on Monday looking to build on their seven-match unbeaten streak and a solid display in a 1-1 draw in Germany, where Luka Jovic opened the scoresheet but Germans put on a more convincing display in the second half and Leon Goretzka found the equalizer.
Eagles outclassed Montenegro (2-1) and Lithuania (4-1) in two UEFA Nations League outings beforehand and topped their League C group, boasting great records in the final third. Mladen Krstajic now wants his men to build on the positives and we hope to see them very motivated.
Portugal, on the other hand, host Ukraine for their first EURO 2020 outing in search of a win which would extend their six-match unbeaten streak. They’ve topped the League A Group 3 ahead of Italy and Poland, which will surely have Fernando Santos’ men confident as Cristiano Ronaldo rejoins the side for the first time since the World Cup.
We have seen A Selecao das Quinas share the spoils in draws against Italy (0-0) and Poland (1-1) in their last two outings, though, and this could be more worrying for a goalscoring point of view. They could need more to outclass Serbia as we expect an exciting contest at Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica.
We will back Portugal to secure the points and show off in front of the home fans, as we go for a Home win at 13/20 with bet365 – which has been rated buying money for old rope by many in the know.
We don’t feel Serbia will go down easy, though, and we hope to see them do their bit in making this a thrilling contest. We’ll thus go for a Yes on Both teams to score at 11/10 with bet365, which caught our eye as Portugal started struggling for consistency at the back late in 2018.
