Burnley vs Fulham Match Preview
Fulham’s away form this term is truly terrible and after their embarrassing FA Cup exit to League Two club Oldham last weekend, they must be backed to lose again at Burnley.
Claudio Ranieri is so far failing to work his Leicester magic with the Cottagers and they are starting to look doomed to relegation along with the Premier League’s cut-adrift bottom club Huddersfield.
Nine defeats and two draws, against Brighton and Newcastle, is a poor record for Fulham on their travels and the only real positive of late was when they edged out Huddersfield with a last-gasp goal.
Ranieri did not field too weakened a side against Oldham in the FA Cup but even then they fell to a shock defeat, and that really does not bode well for the visit to a venue where they have a dreadful record over the last half-century.
Burnley appear to have turned a corner after a tough first half of the season and have now won three games in a row, which extends their current home record to three victories to nil out of four.
Chris Wood’s goals have been the catalyst for those successes and manager Sean Dyche will see this as a big opportunity for his side to put further daylight between themselves and Fulham, with the gap currently four points.
It’s surprising the Clarets’ odds are as big as they are for this game because we were expecting a fraction shorter, and we think they can pile on the misery for their struggling visitors.
