Boxing Day is always one of the most intriguing days on the Premier League calendar, with every team in action – and with every match available to watch on Amazon Prime, with games at four different kick-off times, this could be set to be the best Boxing Day in the history of the Premier League.
Of course, we at FootballTips are looking to place several bets so we can lounge in front of the TV with some turkey butties and hopefully watch the profit come rolling in!
So, we’ve picked out the following 33/1 Win-Draw-Win acca on the Premier League fixtures – and if you’re a new customer at Betway you can earn a 100% matched free bet on your first deposit up to £30! 18+ only, new customer offer, terms and conditions apply.
Here’s what we’re backing:
We’re starting off with the match between relegation candidates Aston Villa and Norwich at Villa Park. The Villains suffered defeat to Southampton in a six-pointer over the weekend, while the Canaries lost the lead to go down in defeat home to Wolves to extend their winless run to five games. They did however, draw away at high-flying Leicester City in their last away match, so we fancy them to pick up another point in the Midlands here.
Also at 3pm, Everton look to begin the Carlo Ancelotti era with a win as they host Sean Dyche’s Burnley. The Toffees have picked up five points from tough games against Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal since the departure of former boss Marco Silva and with the home advantage, we think they will be too strong for a Burnley outfit that do sit in 10th at the moment but are yet to win away from home against top half opposition so far this season.
Next up, we’re backing Sheffield United to earn a fourth straight win as they host relegation strugglers Watford at Bramall Lane. The Blades have been in terrific form so far this season and find themselves in the top six at the moment so with confidence riding high – and with the home advantage in this fixture – it’s hard to look beyond them against a Hornets outfit that have lost four of their last five at the time of writing.
The 5.30pm kick-off comes from Old Trafford, where Manchester United are looking to build on their recent resurge in form. Ahead of Sunday’s trip to Watford, the Red Devils have gone six games unbeaten, winning four, and although Newcastle have surprised many with their strong form so far this season, they’ve still lost five of their last seven away games in the Premier League. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will need a big performance and a big three points from his team ahead of some tougher away fixtures after this game.
Then finally, we’re backing Liverpool to return to Premier League action with a win against Leicester in the late kick-off. The Reds have won all but one of their league fixtures so far this season and although the Foxes have won plenty of plaudits so far this season – and correctly so – they’ve picked up just one point from their last two matches against Norwich City and Manchester City. Expect Jurgen Klopp’s men to earn all three points once again here.
A £10 bet on this fivefold with Betway returns £331.34 – good luck!
