Bet One – Czech Republic vs England – Away win & BTTS
England showed their defensive frailties last time out as they conceded three time against Kosovo despite ending the match as comfortable winners. The Czech Republic are strong in front of their own supporters, winning four of their last five competitive home fixtures, so we can see them getting on the scoresheet here, but England’s irresistible attack should still run out comfortable winners over the 90 minutes.
Bet Two – France vs Iceland – France -2
World Cup winners France have been in fine form of late, winning their last three games and racking up no fewer than 11 goals in the process. Their opponents this time around are Iceland, who shipped four goals to relative minnows Albania last time out. Given how poor they played in that game, we’re backing Strakkanir to struggle against this star-studded Bleus outfit and the hosts should rack up the goals in a heavy defeat for their opponents.
Bet Three – Montenegro vs Bulgaria – Draw
These two sides have struggled in this qualifying section so far. Whilst Montenegro have fluctuated between excellent and poor, Bulgaria have not managed to string any decent performances together and are now winless in their last nine games, although four of those matches have ended in ties. One of those drawn games was the reverse of this fixture in Bulgaria and we expect the same outcome in this one.
Bet Four – Turkey vs Albania – Turkey -2
Turkey should ease to a simple home win as they take on Albania on Friday night. The Crescent-Stars won the reverse fixture by a 0-2 scoreline in Shkoder and last time out they smashed in four goals in an away win over Moldova. Albania are an unpredictable side, but we saw that they can lose their defensive shape if the game starts to get away from them in a 4-1 defeat to France last month and the same could happen again here.
Bet Five – Ukraine vs Lithuania – Over 4.5 goals
With no handicap markets available as yet we’re looking at the goals market on this fixture. Ukraine have been excellent going forward in recent games, racking up 13 goals in their last five outings and with star man Andriy Yarmolenko starting to find form with his club, you have to expect the Yellow-Blue to rack up a few more here in what should be an uncomplicated home win over Lithuania.
