Bet One – Armenia vs Italy – Away win & BTTS
Armenia have been among the goals recently. The ‘Collective’ as they are affectionately known by their raucous supporters have scored six goals in their last two games (wins over Liechtenstein and Greece) but they now come up against far stronger opposition in the shape of Italy. With the home advantage, we fancy Armen Gyulbudaghyants’s to get on the scoresheet but the Azzurri to still take the points here.
Bet Two – Finland vs Greece – Teemu Pukki to score first
Teemu Pukki has been winning the headlines in England for a terrific start to the Premier League season with Norwich. The 29 year old has scored five times in his first four Premier League appearances with the Canaries and he’s been in great form for his country in the last couple of years too, scoring no fewer than eight goals in his last 12 caps. We can see Finland taking advantage of an out of sorts Greece here and Pukki to open the scoring early on.
Bet Three – Israel vs North Macedonia – Israel -1
Israel are in terrific form at the moment and on Thursday evening they take on a North Macedonia outfit that have been brought back down to earth with defeats to Poland and Austria in their last two games, with the latter a 4-1 thumping at the hands of Burschen. The White and Blues meanwhile have won by more than one goal against both Austria and Latvia in their last three games – we’re backing them to win on the handicap again here.
Bet Four – Republic of Ireland vs Switzerland – Correct Score: 0-1
Republic of Ireland have continued to play out rather low-scoring games under Mick McCarthy as they often did under previous manager Martin O’Neill. Each of the Boys in Green’s last eight games have seen less than three goals scored and we see another low-scoring affair here against Switzerland. El Nati should have the quality to just about see themselves through to a narrow victory at the Aviva Stadium.
Bet Five – Romania vs Spain – Away win & BTTS
Another fixture, like Armenia vs Italy, in which we’re backing the heavy favourite to take an away victory – but not a clean sheet. Spain have conceded in victories over the likes of Norway and the Faroe Islands in recent away matches and in Tricolorii they come up against a side that has found the net 15 times in it’s last six matches. We don’t see la Furia Roja having any issues in taking the win here but a clean sheet may not be forthcoming for Luis Enrique’s side.
