Bet One – Aston Villa vs Everton – Away win to nil
After making plenty of additions to their squad this summer, Aston Villa are taking some time to find their feet in the Premier League. The Villains have lost their opening two matches against Tottenham Hotspur and AFC Bournemouth, while their Friday night opponents, Everton, have picked up four points from a possible six so far. Chelsea’s start to life under Frank Lampard has not gone to plan so far. After losing 4-0 to Manchester United at Old Trafford on the opening weekend, the Blues have since been held to draws with Liverpool and Leicester City and this weekend they head to Carrow Road to take on a Norwich outfit that will be in high spirits following a comfortable 3-1 win over Newcastle United last weekend. We can see the Canaries taking something from this one.
Bet Three – Manchester United vs Crystal Palace – Home win to nil
Crystal Palace have struggled in front of goal again in the early stages of this season. With star man Wilfried Zaha clearly unsettled, the Eagles have failed to score in their opening two games of the season against Everton and Sheffield United. Manchester United on the other hand have looked more settled at the back, particularly in their 4-0 home win over Chelsea, so we’re backing them for a comfortable home win to nil against a rather weak opposition frontline here.
Bet Four – Liverpool vs Arsenal – Home win & BTTS
Liverpool have picked up two wins from their first two games of the season, but it’s worth noting that they have conceded in both of those matches. Their games against Arsenal last season produced real goal-fests and we’re expecting more of the same here as the Gunners have also started the campaign with two wins from two and possess a threat going forward through the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. The Reds should still have enough to win it though
Bet Five – Bournemouth vs Man City – Man City -3
Manchester City started the season with a 0-5 away win over West Ham two weeks ago and after being held to a draw by Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad last weekend, they will be keen to get back to winning ways this weekend. The reigning champions should prove far too strong for a Bournemouth outfit that have never won in no fewer than 14 previous meetings with the Citizens, losing 12.
