Our qualifying Bet
You can use your opening, qualifying £10 bet on any game in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon but our tip comes from the match at Vicarage Road between Watford and AFC Bournemouth.
Watford came close to picking up their first win of the season last weekend away to Tottenham Hotspur, but a late Dele Alli equaliser condemned them to another draw. The Hornets have now drawn their last two games, against Sheffield United and Spurs.
This Bournemouth outfit that have played out two draws in their last three games against West Ham and Norwich and their record of three wins, three draws and three goals show that the Cherries are very much a midtable outfit at the moment.
Although Bournemouth are the better side, Watford’s performances (if not results) have started to improve of late and as such we can see the two sides playing out a draw at Vicarage Road at odds of 5/2.
Our Sunday Tips
Here are the selections we’re backing with our free £10 bets for Sunday’s games!
Newcastle vs Wolves – Away win to nil
Newcastle have upset the odds a couple of times with wins over Tottenham and Manchester United this season, but they have the joint-worst attacking record in the league and have managed just one goal in their last five games. This weekend they welcome a Wolves outfit that have found their feet in recent weeks, going seven matches unbeaten in all competitions and keeping clean sheets in two of their last three games. That’s why we’re on the away win to nil at St James’ Park.
Arsenal vs Crystal Palace – Arsenal to come from behind to win
Arsenal had to come from behind twice to beat Vitoria Guimaraes in the Europa League on Thursday night thanks to a late Nicolas Pepe free-kick and we can envisage a similar outcome against Crystal Palace on Sunday. The Eagles have taken the lead three times in their last five meetings with the Gunners – but this year we’ve seen them struggle somewhat against the better teams in the league. The visitors may give Unai Emery’s men a scare but they should still ease through to the three points here.
Liverpool vs Tottenham – Home win and both teams to score
Liverpool are sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table at the moment but it’s fair to say they haven’t looked quite as strong defensively as yet this term, keeping only two clean sheets in their nine Premier League games so far despite winning seven of those games. The Reds should have too much for this struggling Spurs outfit, although the Lilywhites will at least fancy themselves to get on the scoresheet after putting five goals past Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League in midweek.
Norwich vs Manchester United – Under 1.5 goals
Despite playing an attacking style under Daniel Farke, Norwich have been lacking a finishing touch of late, scoring just one goal in their last four games. Manchester United are really struggling for goals at the moment and they haven’t managed to score more than once in the same game since the opening weekend of the season – and indeed less than two goals overall have been scored in five of their last nine games in all competitions, making 19/5 for under 1.5 goals look like excellent value to us.
