Why We’re Backing Leeds and Liverpool to draw
Leeds got a massive confidence boost from defeating high-flyers Chelsea here in midweek, while Liverpool’s fragile nature was underscored once again in a 1-1 draw with Sunderland at Anfield where the hosts required a late own goal to spare their blushes.
Slot’s side have lost four of the last five Premier League games on the road and may only be able to land a share of the spoils in front of a boisterous Elland Road crowd.
- Liverpool have lost four of their last five away Premier League games
- Leeds have won two of their last three at home.
- Slot’s side have plundered just five points from the last 27 points available in the Premier League.

Why We’re Backing Alexander Isak first goalscorer
It’s fair to say Alexander Isak’s move to Anfield hasn’t at all gone to plan as of yet with the striker’s injury struggles coinciding with Liverpool’s horrendous start to the campaign in which the side have already lost six of their 14 Premier League games.
However, the Sweden international has started the last three games in the league and got his first goal in the 2-0 win at West Ham having previously only netted against Championship Southampton in the League Cup back in September.
Isak played 86 minutes against Sunderland on Wednesday and will be hoping to find his rhythm in front of goal now he is featuring more regularly.
On Saturday evening, the forward comes up against a Leeds side who have not kept a clean sheet since August and so opportunities should present themselves at Elland Road.
Before his move to Anfield, Isak proved he was capable of being one of the top scorers in England, finding the net 54 times in 86 Premier League matches during three seasons with Newcastle.
It will be interesting to see if getting his name on the scoresheet at West Ham has set the ball rolling but facing Leeds away means he should get more chances.
- Alexander Isak scored his first Premier League goal for Liverpool at West Ham
- Leeds have not kept a clean sheet since a goalless draw with Newcastle in August
- Isak scored 54 goals in 86 Premier League matches for the Magpies

Player to Watch – Florian Wirtz
While there will be a focus on Alexander Isak up front, Florian Wirtz is another huge summer signing who has failed to get going thus far but has shown signs he could be about to turn the corner in a Liverpool shirt.
Having struggled to make much of an impact for the Reds since arriving in a £116million deal from Bayer Leverkusen, the Germany playmaker has come in for criticism from some pundits and fans.
However, away at West Ham, Wirtz appeared brighter and had much more of an influence on Liverpool’s overall play as the Reds claimed a first away win in the Premier League since September.
Then, at home to Sunderland, Wirtz rescued a point for Liverpool. Though the forward’s wayward shot went in off Nordi Mukiele and was recorded as an own goal by the Black Cats defender, seeing the net bulge at the Kop end will have done wonders for the playmaker’s confidence. Wirtz will be hoping to finally get his own name on the scoresheet at Elland Road on Saturday.
