Albania vs England Predictions, Betting Tips & Match Preview

Joe Vaughan 03 Mar 2026
  • World Cup qualifying Group K is done and dusted bar the shouting with England long confirmed as section winners with Albania booked in to follow them through in second spot.

The Three Lions have strolled into next summer’s World Cup finals and Thursday’s win over Serbia meant Albania get the chance to join them, as they have secured a spot in the play-offs in March.

The pressure is off the Red and Blacks for now as they look to reach their first major tournament finals, but they will relish the test posed to them by England on Sunday.

Albania have never beaten England in five attempts but they will be keen to end that sequence in a match that kicks-off at 5pm in Tirana.

Albania vs England Tips

Our Tip Methodology

At FootballTips, every prediction is shaped by a mix of data-driven analysis and informed football insight. Our contributors consider a wide range of factors before recommending a bet – from recent form and head-to-head records to tactical matchups, team news, and underlying stats.

We look for patterns in goal trends, home and away splits, player performance, and betting market movement to identify where the value lies. We don’t just tip favourites – we aim to find selections that offer a genuine edge. Whether it’s a goalscorer angle, a BTTS trend, or a high-priced underdog, each tip is backed by research and reasoning to help you bet smarter.

Why We’re Backing Eberechi Eze to Score Anytime @ 5/2 with Bet365

  • Eberechi Eze came off the bench to score a stunning goal for England in Thursday’s 2-0 win over Serbia and that made it back to back goals for the Arsenal man, who also scored as a substitute against Latvia last month.
  • With Tuchel likely to rotate his side for this contest in Tirana, Eze could be handed his chance to shine from the start and it would be no surprise to see him grab the opportunity with both hands, and he looks a decent-value bet to get on the scoresheet at any time in the contest.

Why We’re Backing England to Win & Under 2.5 Goals @ 13/5 with Betway

  • England have dominated this section of World Cup qualifying and they will want to finish it in record-breaking style.
  • The Three Lions have scored 20 goals and conceded none across their seven matches and they could set a new national team record of 11 straight competitive wins, having equalled their all-time best of 10 on Thursday at Wembley.
  • Thomas Tuchel’s side have gone nine competitive games without conceding, and they could become just the second European country to win 10 straight competitive matches while keeping a clean sheet every time, after Spain from 2014 to 2016.
  • It gives them something to play for in a clash that has little at stake and neither side will be going all out to win with their places in first and second secure.
  • Albania will be keen to put on a show for the home crowd, but they lack the quality to trouble England even if Tuchel chooses to mix up his starting line-up, so a low-scoring away win looks likely.

Albania Form/Stats

  • Albania have lost just one of their seven matches in this qualifying campaign.
  • Albania have won five of their last seven matches.

England Form/Stats

  • England have won all five meetings with Albania by an aggregate score of 14-1.
  • The Three Lions have kept a clean sheet in 10 of their last 11 matches in all competitions.

Player to Watch

Eberechi Eze scored his first international goal in England’s 3-0 victory over Latvia in March and he has made the most of his opportunities since.

Eze came off the bench to score against Serbia on Thursday and that came on the back of a late strike in last month’s 5-0 win in Latvia.

The Arsenal man is likely to be handed a start on Sunday and it would be no surprise to see him hit the back of the net once more.

Albania vs England Head-to-Head Record

  • 21/03/2025 – England 2 Albania 0
  • 12/11/2021 – England 5 Albania 0
  • 28/03/2021 – Albania 0 England 2
  • 05/09/2001 – England 2 Albania 0
  • 28/03/2001 – Albania 1 England 3

England have won all five meetings with Albania by an aggregate score of 14-1 and that tally is only likely to increase in the Three Lions’ favour in their next meeting.
