Crystal Palace won the Community Shield on penalties against Liverpool before opening the season with a goalless draw away to Chelsea, followed by a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest.

Oliver Glasner’s side head to Villa Park on Sunday following progress to the Conference League group stage after a 1-0 win on aggregate against Fredrikstad.
