Sky Bet Championship Predictions

Of all the leagues in the English football league pyramid, it is possibly the Sky Bet Championship that is the toughest to predict. It genuinely is a hard slog for all competitors – forty-six games over around nine months, and even longer if a team makes the playoffs.

Add on the FA Cup and the Football League or Carabao Cup and most sides will play around fifty games per term. This can seem something of a shock to teams freshly relegated from the Premier League whom were accustomed to a much less-frenetic schedule.

If you're going to be successful when making Sky Bet Championship predictions then you really need to know your stuff – just like us at Football Tips. Even though it's only a division below the Premier League the style and standard of football in the Championship is very different – it's a little more physical and played with less pace. Successful Championship players seldom flourish at a higher level because of the speed of Premier League football.

In truth, there's a lot to factor in when it comes to Championship football, and success in sports betting at this level is only achievable if you have genuinely understood what makes the game tick in the second tier of English football.

Championship Betting Tips

The Championship is considered by many to be the most competitive league in English league football. While not quite having the riches of the Premier League, several sides in the Championship will have experience of the finances created by Premier League football and the resources to enable them to push for promotion. Several financiers are also now backing Championship sides - as backing an EPL team is considered too expensive – in the hope of achieving promotion.

Added to this mix is the race to avoid relegation and the horror of third-tier football. All this adds up to a very competitive league and more chance of value bets as sports books sometimes find it difficult to price events and markets in the Sky Bet Championship accurately.

If you do your sports betting homework diligently – or even better, allow us here at Football Tips to do it for you – then you've a greater chance of making some extra cash.

We examine all the markets when it comes to Sky Bet Championships Predictions in order to try and make them the very best and most accurate predictions available anywhere on the internet.

When do you publish match previews & predictions?

We don't come up with our predictions simply by writing names on a piece of paper, pinning them to a dartboard and then throwing darts at them. There are many considerations that we look into when we are formulating our tips and predictions as we of course want you to get as much out of our expertise as possible.

That's why we do not publish our predictions a week in advance – the expected timeframe is more likely to be one to two days. There is a lot that we have to react to – management upheavals, key players missing because of injury and suspensions, ground and weather conditions. It would be impossible to factor in all the details if we made our predictions in too early, and our predictions would therefore be a lot less accurate as a result.

As it's our aim to give you the best football tips going, we feel a lead time of between one and two days is wholly appropriate, and that will certainly give you plenty of time to decide which of our tips you will want to follow, and to get your bets on at your favourite online sports book.

Very few people are full-time professional sports bettors, but lots of people could be if they wanted to (or at least feel they could be), but time is a factor and real life gets in the way. To be in such a position you cannot take sports betting likely – in fact to make any kind of profit out of sports betting you cannot take sports betting lightly.

You can trust our tips because we do understand all the intricacies of sports betting, and we delve deeply into any event that we provide predictions for. Our quest is to help the people whom visit our site become successful sports bettors, and we do that by providing the most accurate tips and predictions found anywhere on the internet.

In short, we do all the heavy lifting so that you don't have to. We really do all we can to make sure that our tips will do exactly what you want them to do – increase your bank balance – and that's why you can trust them.

The Championship at a glance

When the Football League was created in 1888, it soon became clear that there was enough interest in the fledging sport of football for a second division. This was created in 1892 (largely by absorbing a rival league known as the Football Alliance) as the original league became the first division and expanded to sixteen teams from twelve. The second division originally consisted of twelve teams.

The second division continued as the second division until the formation of the FA Premier League in 1992, when it was renamed the 'Football League First Division'. It was renamed again in 2004, this time as 'The Championship'.

The top two teams each year in the Championship are automatically promoted to the following season’s FA Premier League. Teams that finish third, fourth, fifth and sixth enter the playoffs, with the winners also gaining promotion. The bottom three teams are relegated to the third tier of English football, League One.
