Young Boys vs Rangers Match Preview
Rangers travel to Bern for their Europa League clash at Young Boys in a great mood and on the back of a five-match winning streak across competitions, which sees them lagging just a point behind Celtic on Premiership table and sharing the top 2 spot in Group G ahead of their Thursday’s trip.
Gers beat Feyenoord (1-0) with a single goal from Sheyi Ojo and we’ve seen them build on the success with very convincing league wins over St. Johnstone (0-4), Aberdeen (5-0), as well as a League Cup win at Livingston (0-1). Steven Gerrard’s men kept clean sheets in all of the last four outings and they surely have a lot to build on here.
Young Boys have, on the other hand, seen a rather disappointing second part of September and found it hard to bounce from a narrow 2-1 loss at Porto on the opening day of the campaign in Group G. They shared the spoils with Basel (1-1) and Thun (1-1) and lost the top spot in Super League.
Gerardo Seoane’s men now finally ended their three-match winless streak, though, and will surely be no easy side to cope with. They beat Sion (3-2) in a five-goal thriller despite falling behind early on as Michel Aebischer, Jean-Pierre Nsame, and Christian Fassnacht all found the net in a very exciting contest at this ground
We feel Rangers will be able to capitalize on their defensive woes and snatch at least a point at Stade de Suisse, as we go for a Double Chance – Draw or Away win at 17/20 with Ladbrokes – which seems like great value seeing the form they’ve enjoyed lately.
Gers have been very solid defensively on the road but we feel they’ll have to cope in the final third if they’re to snatch points now. We thus expect a more exciting clash and goals on both ends, which has us going for a Yes on Both teams to score at 7/10 with 22bet.
