Wolves vs Torino Predictions

Wolves are looking good to confirm their spot in the Europa League group stages on Thursday night as they welcome Torino in the Europa League with a narrow lead. In a thrilling first-leg in Turin last week, the men in gold managed a famous 2-3 victory against a team that has prided itself on it’s defensive stability in recent times, but the tie is far from over yet as we head back to the Black Country on Thursday evening.

These two clubs have proud histories in European football having been among the clubs to push for international club competitions many decades ago, but recent years have not been as kind to either of them so the desire to play in the Europa League and reach the group stages will be strong. Both sets of fans and managers will see this competition as one of their main priorities for the 2019/2020 campaign.

But it’s Wolves who are in the driving seat after that win in Italy and indeed they’ve now gone eight games unbeaten in all competitions to kick off this new season. Admittedly, their three Premier League fixtures thus far have ended in draws, but Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have picked up five wins in five Europa League outings so far so it’s hardly a surprise that they’re available at 10/11 to win out here with Coral.

Torino performed incredibly well to secure a seventh placed finish in Serie A last term and end a seven year wait to return to the Europa League. They’ve already beaten Debrecen and Shakhtyor to reach this stage of the competition, although they will need to produce something special to win here at 3/1 with Unibet to stand any chance of progressing again, although confidence will be high after an opening weekend win over Sassuolo in Serie A.

The Italian outfit have to try and create something here as the game must be chased down but unfortunately for boss Walter Mazzarri, that might leave his usually stoic backline more open on the counter-attack. Wolves won the first leg of this tie with both teams getting on the scoresheet and at Molineux on Thursday night we foresee a similar outcome. The match result and BTTS bet is available at 3/1 with Bet365.

Raul Jimenez has been among the goals again in the early stages of this campaign. The Mexican bagged braces in the qualifying matches against both Pyunik and Crusaders and he opened his Premier League account over the weekend in the draw with Burnley, adding to the goal he scored in the first leg of this tie last week. We’re backing the 28 year old to grab his seventh goal of the season already here at 7/5 with Ladbrokes.
