Wolves vs Manchester United Match Preview
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s honeymoon period as Manchester United’s interim manager may just be reaching an end, and Wolves are fancied to inflict the Norwegian’s first back-to-back defeats.
Four days after the euphoria of that remarkable Champions League comeback in Paris, the Red Devils were turned over 2-0 by Arsenal as Solskjaer’s 100% away record was shattered.
United did not play badly at the Emirates Stadium, they just fell victim to a couple of individual errors of judgement – the like of which they had not been making in the first two-and-a-half months of Solskjaer’s reign.
They should have a few players back from injury here and they do need that freshness, with Ander Herrera’s potential return being of particular importance.
But this is a big test for United against a team who held them to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford earlier in the season and have plenty of motivation themselves, with the target of European football by either winning the FA Cup or finishing seventh in the Premier League if one of the Manchester clubs lifts the trophy at Wembley instead.
The atmosphere at Molineux will be crackling for this Saturday night match and Wolves are backed to be inspired to lift their excellent season to new heights with a famous victory.
