After returning to Bundesliga with a thriller 2-1 loss at Schalke, Wolfsburg head into another tough contest as they host Bayer Leverkusen for their Matchday 19 clash on Saturday afternoon.

Die Wolfe have picked it up at VOLKSWAGEN ARENA and now hope to show off such a character once again, desperate for points to build on their top 6 spot – with five sides including the visitors still breathing down their necks. They beat Stuttgart (2-0) here midway through December and Augsburg (2-3) afterwards, which should make the task of lifting their team spirits an easy one for Bruno Labbadia.

Bayer Leverkusen come into the match with similar ambitions after seeing Borussia Monchengladbach (0-1) snatch all three points at BayArena with a single goal from Alassane Plea. They’ve thus had their five-match winning streak across competitions ended and struggles for consistency on the road could prove costly.

Peter Bosz’ men had snatched all three points at Schalke (1-2) beforehand but this was only their first win in four Bundesliga trips, which will surely be more worrying despite scoring goals on the road regularly. Leverkusen do promise a strong challenge but we don’t see them snatching anything from the fixture this time around.

We’ll thus stick our necks out for a Home win at 17/10 with Betfair, which feels like a lively longshot at this point and attracts many value seekers. Wolfsburg have been very solid here recently and we expect more of the same on the day.

However, it feels like they’ll have to outgun the rivals to secure such a success and with that in mind, we’ll now also go for a high-scoring contest with Over 2.5 Goals FT at 3/4 with Unibet.
