Wigan shocked the league with a 2-1 road victory at high-flying Leeds despite playing for 76 minutes with just ten-men. The result moves them to 20th place and they are five points above Rotherham with just three games to go. After this Athletic have a road trip to Birmingham before a final home day meeting with Millwall.

At the DW Stadium, the Latics are unbeaten in the last eight with five of the previous six finishing all-square. Just one of the last six at this ground have gone over 2.5 goals with three of these matches ending goalless. In seven of their last eight in front of their own fans the Lancashire outfit have kept a first-half clean sheet.

Preston put to an end a four-game losing streak with a comfortable 4-0 victory over bottom side Ipswich on Friday. Callum Robinson and Lukas Nmecha grabbed a brace each to mean North-End are not mathematically out of the play-off picture. In all reality they are though as they sit ninth and are seven points behind Boro in sixth with just three games remaining.

It is hard to argue with the prices on offer here which make Wigan the favourites as they have home advantage and a little more to play for. This though is a Lancashire derby and Preston will be stubborn opponents. A draw then might be the way to play this as it will move the Latics six points clear of Rotherham (if the Millers lose) and with a superior goal-difference would require the Yorkshire side to win all three remaining games to catch them.
