Wigan Athletic vs Ipswich Town Match Preview
Wigan were last in league action on January 13th when a goalless draw with Stoke saw their unbeaten run stretched to three. They are still in the relegation battle as they sit 20th and are just five above the drop zone.
At the DW Stadium, the Latics have taken seven points from their last three which includes victories over Villa and QPR. Just one of their last six at their place has seen both teams find the back of the net.
An injury time goal from Will Keane saw them draw 1-1 with Stoke and has made it back-to-back draws for Ipswich. It is now sixth without a victory and they find themselves a massive nine points from safety.
Away from Portman Road, the Tractor Boys have lost seven straight and are winless in their previous ten. They have blanked in six of their last seven on their travels and netted just once in total from these games.
Wigan are strong favourites to win the game which is down to their home form and the poor road form of Ipswich. That being said Town are showing some signs of life and at the prices I am willing to take a chance on the visitors alongside the draw. Wigan have beaten a woefully out of sorts Villa and QPR while the Suffolk did beat them only a few months back.
Backing a player from the visitors to score seems a strange call given how they have struggled for goals but a home goal last time out for Will Keane means confidence will be raised and his price is too big to net here.
