West Ham vs Wolves Match Preview
Wolves travel to London for their Matchday 30 clash on Sunday afternoon, just days after taking on a trip to Greece and their Europa League clash at Olympiakos Piraeus. They come into the busy week on the back of an all-important win at Tottenham (2-3) in early March and we now expect them very motivated to build on the success.
Nuno Espirito Santo can’t really be happy with his men’s defensive performances of recent but we’ve seen them in a good form up front, only failing to find the net at Man United (1-0 in FA Cup and 0-0 in Premier League) in six away games in 2020. They will be desperate for consistency, though, and London Stadium feels like a good spot to build on it.
West Ham have seen a tough schedule lately and struggled to cope with it, suffering three losses in four games. They saw Man City (2-0), Liverpool (3-2), and Arsenal (1-0) all secure the points and only interrupted the unwanted streak with a 3-1 win over Southampton at this ground.
Hammers have been tougher to beat at home ground and have four points in their last two outings to show for it. They shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw against Brighton beforehand and David Moyes will now want more of the same, as his men look desperate for points to pick it up and escape the immediate danger zone.
We don’t see them doing so, though, and we’ll now rather back Wolves to keep track of the top 4 with all three points on Sunday. We’ll go for an Away win at 7/5 with BetVictor, which seems like the best value in the market at this point.
We should be in for a narrow contest and we are hoping for a somewhat unconventional contest at London Stadium, as we also go for Under 2.5 Goals FT at 4/5 with William Hill. Hammers have seen such losses at this ground already and Wolves will surely want a similar feat on the day.
