West Ham have seen a thrashing League Cup exit in the hands of Oxford United (4-0) and seemingly struggled to bounce back quickly, now hosting Crystal Place with a 2-2 draw at Bournemouth behind them – where they took the lead early on but only Aaron Cresswell’s 74’ equalizer saved them a point in the end.

Hammers have been more confident in front of the home fans and will surely hope this can help them to bounce to the winning ways ahead of the International break. They’ve beaten Norwich (2-0) and Man United (2-0) in rather narrow clashes here and kept clean sheets on both occasions, which should have them in a good shape.

Crystal Palace ended a two-match winless streak of their own with a 2-0 win over Norwich, where Luka Milivojevic opened the scoresheet from the spot and Andros Townsend added one in stoppage time. They’ve struggled for such goalscoring consistency on the road, though, and this could be more worrying for Roy Hodgson.

Eagles failed to find the net at all in two of their three trips so far, falling victims to Sheffield United (1-0), Tottenham (4-0), and beating Man United (1-2) in the process with a stoppage-time winner from Patrick van Aanholt. We thus don’t really feel they’re out of the woods and it does seem they have a lot to prove.
