West Ham United vs Liverpool Match Preview
Liverpool were accused in some quarters of feeling the title-race pressure when held at home by Leicester, but can dispel that notion by returning to winning ways at West Ham.
The Reds had a golden chance to go seven points clear of Manchester City, who had lost at Newcastle the previous evening, but instead extended their lead to five as they failed to beat a team in the Premier League from outside the top six for the first time this season.
But it’s far too early to suggest Jurgen Klopp’s side are starting to wilt and they ought to relish going up against a West Ham side who have lost their last three matches, conceding nine goals.
In fairness to the Hammers, those games were all away from home and they have been much more effective at the London Stadium over the last few months (see stats above).
However, Liverpool’s form has been just as impressive on the road as at Anfield in the Premier League this term and they are expected to put their title challenge back up to full speed with a comfortable success.
