West Brom vs Sheffield Wednesday Match Preview
West Brom won 1-0 away at Hull in their final fixture before the international break to make it back-to-back victories and no defeat in six. Albion sit top of the Championship table after 16 games two points clear of their nearest rivals Preston.
At the Hawthorns, the Baggies are unbeaten in seven this season though four of these (including each of the last two) have finished all-square. All seven matches here this season have seen both teams score while each of the last five have gone over 3.5 goals.
Sheffield Wednesday drew 2-2 with Swansea ahead of the international break it was their third drawn in their last five with also a victory and a defeat to show. The Yorkshire outfit sit eighth in the table two places and three points outside the play-offs.
Away from Hillsborough, the Owls have picked up just one point from their last three which includes defeats at Hull and Blackburn. Only two teams (Bristol City and Brentford) have more road goals than the 12 Wednesday have bagged.
It is hard to argue with the prices on offer here which make West Brom strong favourites but with just three wins from seven at their own place this season the prices do not look like you would want to take them. Wednesday have struggled on the road recently so that would put us off backing them.
This ground has seen 16 second-half goals this season so going over 1.5 second-half goals makes sense as does backing both teams to net after the interval.
