West Brom vs Blackburn Match Preview
West Brom made it back-to-back draws last weekend as they were held 1-1 at Derby needing an 84th minute penalty to rescue a point. They are unbeaten to the start with three of their five played finishing in a draw.
At the Hawthorns, the Baggies have drawn both their league games 1-1 with the ties coming against Reading and Millwall (who also beat them at this ground in the League Cup). Both of the goals they have conceded in the league here this season have come in the final 20 minutes.
Blackburn saw their unbeaten run extended to three in the league as a goalless draw with Cardiff means it is seven points from the last nine on offer. The Lancashire outfit were in League Cup action on Tuesday night going down 2-1 to Sheffield United.
Away from Ewood Park, Rovers have had mixed fortunes winning at Blackburn (1-0) but going down (2-0) at Fulham. They have struggled in the road in 2019 with them securing just four victories in the league on their travels in 2019.
It is hard to argue with the prices on offer with West Brom strong favourites to come out on top against Blackburn side who tend to perform better at home than away. The Baggies have a tendency to draw (three of five this season) which puts us off backing them here.
A better angle of attack is backing the goals to come later in the game as both sides have seen around two-thirds of the goals scored this season coming after the break so take the second-half to be the highest scoring. Speaking of goals Bradley Dack is showing up well in the shots on target data and has yet to get a goal and he looks worth a small interest here.
