Watford vs Leicester Match Preview
Watford have seen Crystal Palace (1-0) deny them points and an escape from the immediate danger zone last week, hosting Leicester for their Matchday 30 clash on Saturday desperate for points with just their goal difference keeping them above 18th placed Bournemouth.
Nigel Pearson’s men have been tougher to beat in front of the home fans and we’ve seen them beat shaky Liverpool (3-0), which was the pace-setters’ first loss this term and will certainly serve as a great boost for the Hornets. Still, they have a lot yet to prove and showing off at Vicarage Road will be crucial.
They have beaten some big guns here already but Leicester will be no easy side to shut down, after bagging Birmingham (1-0) in FA Cup and Aston Villa (4-0) in Premier League. The visitors have thus ended a streak of five games without a win last week and will want to keep building on their top 4 spot here.
Foxes have struggled to impress on the road, though, and this will be more worrying. They saw a League Cup exit at Aston Villa (2-1) in late January and bagged just one point in two Premier League trips since, as they failed to find the net at Wolves (0-0) and Norwich (1-0) in February.
We feel they could be in for another tough challenge here and we’ll now stick our necks out for the sides to share the spoils at Vicarage Road, where a Draw looks like more than just a lively longshot and can be backed at 5/2 with bet365.
While we have seen some narrow occasions on both ends lately, we feel we will see goals on the day and we’ll thus also back a Yes on Both teams to score at 7/10 with bet365. We’ve seen such games in all of their last three head-to-head clashes at this ground and we’re now hoping for more of the same.
