Villarreal vs Real Madrid Match Preview
Real Madrid slipped up in front of the home fans where a late goal from Karim Benzema brought just one point with Valladolid finding an even later equalizer, as Zinedine Zidane’s men now travel to Villarreal in search of a quick way back to the winning ways and potentially even the top spot after three games played.
Los Blancos have beaten Celta Vigo (1-3) beforehand on the backs of an in-form Benzema and a wondergoal from Toni Kroos, which will have the travelling fans hoping for another such quest at Estadio de la Ceramica. They’ve been conceding goals on the regular but it’s been nothing strange for Zizou’s outfit and this promises another thriller in the making.
Villarreal have seen Granada snatch a point here on the opening day of the campaign and two goals conceded in the last 15 minutes denied them a third win in a row, after a rock-solid finish to their pre-season campaign. They’ve struggled to recuperate and saw a 2-1 loss at Levante, with a similar comeback through penalty-kicks converted by Roger Marti.
El Submarino Amarillo have been led by Gerard Moreno, who found the net on both of those occasions, and they’ll now hope the 27-year-old striker can extend the streak. Javi Calleja has struggled to find a cure to their defensive woes, though, and this could be a lot more distressing at this point.
We will back Real Madrid to capitalize on that in another exciting game on Sunday evening, as we go for an Away win which caught the eye of many value seekers at 10/11 with William Hill. We have seen them beat Villarreal this year already and we do see them snatching the points again.
Still, we feel they’ll have to outgun the rival to secure the points at Estadio de la Ceramica and with that in mind, we’re also going for a Yes on Both teams to score at 3/7 with 22bet as more of a banker bet after both sides enjoyed such games early in the new season.
