Villarreal host Leganes on Sunday evening as they look to bounce back to winning ways, and it appears they have been given the perfect opportunity to do so. Having said that, they do come here on the back of two defeats, so have to turn that around,a although being fair to them, they did little wrong in those defeats. Leganes are in the bottom three and have just one win from their last eight games, which is not the type of form needed to get them out of trouble. This represents another tough task for them on Sunday.
One area of real concern for Leganes right now has to be goal scoring. They have been kept off the score sheet four times in their last six games and if you don’t score goals then wins are impossible to come by. They need to pick that up if they are to have any future in La Liga, something they should be trying to start this weekend.
Although that is what they would like to do, ultimately we don’t think they will do it. Prior to those two defeats, Villarreal were playing some really good football, and had performed well against a number of good teams. They’ve lost nothing in two recent defeats, and can bounce back with a win against the struggling Leganes here.
