Villarreal vs Leganes Match Preview
Villarreal have returned to the winning ways with an upset at Girona (0-1) where an early goal from Samuel Chukwueze brought all three points and they now host Leganes for their Matchday 33 clash just days after their Europa League trip to Valencia, looking to build on such a performance at Estadi Municipal de Montilivi.
Yellow Submarine sit just two points clear of 18th placed Real Valladolid in a thriller chase to secure top-flight survival, desperate to retain consistency in front of the home fans – after a disappointing 1-3 loss to Los Che despite a very tough challenge.
Leganes have, on the other hand, extended their five-match unbeaten streak with a 1-1 draw against Real Madrid, building on shared spoils at Alaves as well as wins over Getafe (0-2) and Valladolid (1-0) beforehand. They’ve proven themselves a tough nut to crack and Mauricio Pellegrino will hope his men can build on the mid-table spot for it.
Lega have struggled to score numbers of goals on the road but have found the net on both of their last two trips, sitting eight points behind the top 6 and surely aware away points will prove crucial if they’re to boost the chase with four sides also ahead in such attempts towards late in the campaign.
We do feel they have what it takes to capitalize on Villarreal’s busy schedule and pressure mounting, as we now stick with them to leave unbeaten through an enticing Double Chance – Draw or Away win at 21/20 with bet365.
We should be in for goals and Lega will have to build on their records if they’re to do such a thing, which now also has us going for a Yes on Both teams to score at 10/11 with Paddy Power. We’ve seen both struggling to keep clean sheets and this feels like evidence for such a bet as well.
