Vancouver Whitecaps vs Los Angeles FC Match Preview

Los Angeles FC travel to Vancouver for their Thursday’s clash in great shape and on the back of a near-perfect start of the campaign, which sees them sitting at the top of the Western Conference table with 19 points to their name after seven matches played.

LAFC have bagged six wins and only saw a draw at New York City (2-2) along the way, now boasting a four-match winning streak and looking to build on the high team spirits. They’ve beaten Cincinnati with goals from Mark Kaye and Carlos Vela, where the latter found the net late to make it two or more goals scored in all outings so far.

Vancouver, on the other hand, struggled to get their campaign underway and the point earned at Chicago Fire (1-1) on Saturday was only their second this term. Indeed, they’ve failed to score goals on the regular and this has proven costly, as they now still search for their first win and sit huge 17 points behind the pace-setters with a game in hand.

Whitecaps have seen four losses in six outings so far and failed to find the net three times as well, which will seem very worrying for Marc Dos Santos despite his men’s solid challenge at SeatGeek Stadium – where they took an advantage through a horror mistake from David Ousted and came oh-so-close to fully capitalize.

We will now back Los Angeles FC to turn another narrow contest their way and build on the great mood they’ve been in lately, as we now stick with an Away win at 10/11 with bet365 which seems great value seeing the Whitecaps’ struggles for points.
