Vancouver Whitecaps vs Dallas Match Preview
Vancouver Whitecaps host Dallas for their Sunday’s clash just days after their trip to New York as they head into a busy week in an attempt to catch up with the Western Conference top 7, now sitting five points behind the 6th placed visitors.
Whitecaps come into the week on the back of a 1-1 draw at Sporting KC, as they bounced from a narrow yet disappointing 0-1 loss to Atlanta United – where Five Stripes ended a three-match unbeaten streak for them at BC Place. They’ll now want more and we do feel Marc Dos Santos should have no troubles lifting their spirits.
Dallas come into the match struggling to show off on the road and only ending a streak of three losses as they held Los Angeles to a 1-1 draw at home ground, where Carlos Vela converted a late penalty to snatch a point at Toyota Stadium. They’ve seen Houston Dynamo (2-1), New York RB (1-3) and LAFC (2-0 on the road) all snatch points beforehand, which will be just as worrying with their top 7 spot now in danger.
Toros have had troubles scoring numbers of goals and this has proven costly, as they head to Vancouver where they home side conceded just two goals in four matches. They will now want to end the winless streak but we don’t see them making it happen on Sunday.
We will thus back Vancouver Whitecaps to turn a narrow contest their way and secure all three points, as we go for a Home win at 11/8 with William Hill. They have been tough at this ground and we feel we’ll see more of the same now.
We don’t believe we’re in for many goals, though, and with that in mind – we’re now also sticking with Under 2.5 Goals FT at 21/20 with bet365, which could as well prove the best approach to the fixture at this point as seventh such occasion in a row at this ground.
