Valletta vs Ferencvaros Match Preview
Valletta have found a late consolation in a 3-1 loss at Ferencvaros and they now host the Hungarian rivals for the return match of their Champions League Qualifiers clash hoping to capitalize on it, looking to make up for the two-goal advantage the rivals bring to MFA Centenary Stadium.
Darren Abdilla’s men have struggled to turn clashes their way but an aggregate 3-3 draw against F91 Dudelange was enough for them in 1st Qualifying Round, as Valletta made their way. Still, they have a five-match winless streak now behind them and breaking it could prove a tough task.
Ferencvaros have, on the other hand, been in great shape through their pre-season and we have seen them build on it with two narrow wins over Ludogorets (5-3 on aggregate) – as they now come into the second leg on the back of a seven-match winning streak across competitions.
Fradi have been scoring and conceding numbers of goals on the regular and they’ll want to keep up such a trend despite conceding goals along the way too. They’ve seen a total of 12 goals in their last three outings, which feels like evidence for those hoping to see an exciting game now.
We will back Ferencvaros to turn another exciting game their way and we’ll stick with an Away win at 1/2 with Paddy Power, which has caught the eye of many in the know as more of a banker bet at this point.
However, we don’t feel it will come as easy and we do see Valletta getting on the scoresheet once again. With that in mind, we’re also going for a Yes on Both teams to score, which comes at 7/10 with William Hill and looks a great approach with both sides scoring and conceding on the regular.
