Real Madrid travel to Valladolid for their Matchday 27 clash amid a troubled spell of form which marked an unsuccessful campaign, as they dropped 12 points behind Barcelona and crashed out of both Copa del Rey (through a 0-3 home loss to Blaugrana) and Champions League (through a 1-4 loss to Ajax).

Los Blancos now have many calling for a reconstruction of a side troubled and suffering four losses in five outings across competitions, where just a 1-2 win at Levante hardly feels like a confidence booster. However, they have garnered a solid streak on the road and, interestingly, bagged five wins and a draw in last six trips – which will have Solari hoping to keep it up.

Real Valladolid will obviously not be the same sort of a challenge as they sit just outside the relegation zone towards late in the campaign, with losses to Huesca (4-0), Barcelona (1-0), Betis (0-2), and Espanyol (3-1) seen since early February and just a goalless draw against Villarreal also on the records.

Pucela have proven themselves a tougher side to beat at Jose Zorrilla on many occasions, though, and will hope they can build on such a character now as well. They have a lot to work on, though, and snatching the points against a wounded Real Madrid will still be no easy task.
