Valencia host Villarreal for their Matchday 15 clash on Saturday evening, just days after their mid-week Champions League clash against Chelsea (2-2), hoping to bounce to the winning ways and catch up with the top 6 – currently sitting three points behind the 6th placed Real Sociedad.

Los Che went on the International break in a great mood with wins over Espanyol (1-2), Lille (4-1), and Granada (2-0) behind them but saw the streak ended by Betis (2-1) after it. They took an early lead at Benito Villamarin Stadium but the rivals completed a comeback with a last-gasp winner from Canales and Celades now has to search for a quick fix.

Villarreal have struggled for points just as much lately and they earned just one in their last four outings. They held off Athletic Bilbao (0-0) in front of the home fans but saw Eibar (2-1), Mallorca (3-1), and Celta Vigo (1-3) snatch all three points despite finding the net on all three of those occasions.

El Submarino Amarillo have conceded seven goals in the process and this will be worrying, as they struggle to impress on the road and the goal scored meant nothing more often than not. They will need more to cause an upset at Mestalla and we don’t feel they have what it takes at this point.

We will thus back Valencia to secure all three points here and going for a Home win at 29/20 with William Hill feels like great value. We’ve seen them in fine form at this ground and we hope to see them very motivated to keep it up in La Liga.
