Valencia vs Mallorca Match Preview
Valencia host Mallorca for their Matchday 3 clash on Sunday afternoon still looking for their first La Liga win this term, after seeing a 1-1draw against Real Sociedad on the opening day of the campaign and a disappointing 1-0 loss at Celta Vigo last week. They’ve struggled to impress in the final third and this has proven costly, which will have Marcelino searching for a quick fix.
Indeed, Los Che conceded a very late equalizer as Mikel Oyarzabal converted the penalty kick only after they missed several all-out chances and Kevin Gameiro even missed a penalty of his own in the stoppage time. These woes continued on a tougher trip to Vigo and we should now see them desperate to impress.
Mallorca have started the campaign in a better mood and bagged a 2-1 win over Eibar in front of the home fans. However, hosting Real Sociedad has been a more disappointing occasion last week, as Martin Odegaard’s late goal saw them with no points to take from the contest.
Los Bermellones have proven themselves a tough side to outgun and they will want to show off such a character now too but it’s fair to say Valencia will be possibly the toughest challenge they’ve seen in months, which will make it very interesting to see how well they cope – as they look to capitalize on the rivals’ shaky spell of form.
We do feel Valencia will have what it takes to secure the points but we feel Mallorca will do their bit in making it an exciting occasion at Mestalla, as we now stick with a Home win and Over 2.5 Goals FT at 23/20 with Coral. They haven’t really been holding it together at the back and this could feel like further evidence for such a bet.
With that in mind, we see the visitors making it on the scoresheet too and we’re thus going for a Yes on Both teams to score at Evens with Novibet. Los Che have conceded at least a goal in all of the last five outings at this ground and we now hope for another such occasion.
