Valencia vs Getafe Match Preview
Valencia host Getafe for their Matchday 28 clash on Sunday afternoon on the back of a thriller Europa League success against Krasnodar, where Goncalo Guedes netted a last-gasp equalizer and secured an aggregate win over the Russian rivals, hoping to build on their streak and break into the league’s top 6.
Los Che have connected a four-match winning streak beforehand as they beat Krasnodar 2-1 in front of the home crowd and secured important points against Betis (1-0), Athletic Bilbao (2-0), and Girona (2-3) – which is bound to have them in a great mood at Mestalla once again.
Getafe boast a fine streak of their own and we’ve seen them earn four wins and two draws in their last six outings, sitting 4th with 45 points to their name after 27 games played. They’ve beaten Rayo Vallecano (2-1), Betis (1-2), and Huesca (2-1) in three narrow occasions since mid-February and Jose Bordalas surely sees his men taking confidence from it.
However, Azulones have seen more troubles turning clashes their way on the road and the win at Beticos was their only first in last two months, where they also saw three draws and two losses (one of which was a disappointing Copa del Rey trip to this ground).
We thus don’t see them snatching points now either and we’ll stick with Valencia to beat the rivals once again, going for a Home win at Evens with bet365 and hoping to see them building on great team spirits we’ve seen lately.
Indeed, both sides enjoy attacking football and we’ve seen goals on both ends in all of Getafe’s last five outings as well as all of Valencia’s respective last three, which promises another exciting occasion. With that in mind, we’re now also backing a Yes on Both teams to score as more of a banker bet at 4/6 with William Hill.
