Valencia host Espanyol for their Matchday 24 La Liga clash on Sunday afternoon, just days after their Europa League contest at Celtic, where they look to build on a five-match unbeaten streak across competitions – with two wins and three draws earned along the way.

Los Che have beaten Villarreal (3-0) and Getafe (3-1) at this ground and went on to hold off Barcelona (2-2), Betis (2-2 in Copa del Rey) and Real Sociedad (0-0) most recently. Marcelino will thus have a lot to build on and we expect the home side very motivated to keep up their great goalscoring streak.

Espanyol come into the match after escaping the immediate danger zone with a 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano, where Sergi Darder netted a last-gasp winner to complete the comeback as well as a return to the winning ways after five outings without one.

RCDE have held Real Betis (1-1) and Villarreal (2-2) to draws along the way but suffered more convincing losses to Eibar (3-0), Real Madrid (2-4), and Betis (3-1) in the return Copa del Rey match on the road. Their performances on the road will be more worrying and we thus don’t feel they have what it takes to cause an upset here.

We’ll thus back Valencia to secure all three points and going for a Home win at 4/5 with BetVictor feels like great value, especially with their better performances seen at Mestalla through most part of the campaign.
